The joy of improving your quality of riding.

5-24-2015  Apex Racing Center

The road to progression begins with none other than that of simply doing. Implying that the act of doing is in a sense part of the act of progress. Racing minis myself and remembering all the tips and tricks that were taught to me from the beginning  that I have passed on to those that are willing to lend an ear.

Most of the time you think/believe you can't do things first. Go fast on a small bike you say? I can't do that! Well the first step is getting on one, going out to a mini race or participating on an endurance race that can be so intoxicating that it gets mixed in your blood like oil and gas in a 2 stroke engine.  Weapon of choice for most is a Kawasaki KX65, although there are variables for this including the 50cc class as well as the Suzuki RM 65. Either option you choose is a winning option as it gets you one step closer to progressing in something you may not even knew existed!

I remember the timid look in his eye, the fear of being around fast riders ,the ""How am I going to compete with them"" attitude , that has now since diminished into nothing more than a weird thought. The act of starting and finishing can be something that is a far reach at times for those that do not have the equipment, BUT the act of starting is in itself finishing. If you start a race (whether you finish or not) you in a sense already finished. Your fear or starting to race is now gone and conquered. You goal has now changed and there is a sight that no longer has anything to do with starting. It is now about pondering when the next race is and winning. Chasing after each other around a track for a couple minutes to 24 hours is something that brings smiles and laughs to those that are racing for their first time or be it their 300th time!!

I have been following the racing career of Serg the co-owner of www.2WheelsTrackDays.com  for a while now. I remember his laps times around the track the first races and they were as expected nothing to brag about. Comparing that to where he is now and there is a significant difference in the amount of seconds lost as well as his personal drive to succeed. The thrill of competing and being a part of the www.MiniMotoAlliance.com is something than can see always brings a smile to his face. Something that beams bright out of an area of riding he never knew could be this much fun.

Support needed for our fallen brother

https://www.fundme.com/en/projects/20609-laying-an-angel-to-rest

Nobody wants that call of a fallen rider. Some one you may know, heard of, but when you enjoy life and everything it offers with them it hits you harder than a jackhammer to your heart. There is much to say and I am glad we had plenty of times to talk about everything and nothing was ever left unsaid. Everyone knew you loved them as much as you did. Your smile knocked away even the darkest of frowns.

Friends and family started an account to help out our fallen brother. Anything helps, and his family is greatly appreciate and thanks you all for your condolences and well wishes through this rough time.

Ride In Peace Tony Meza

Services and details will be posted up as soon as everything gets worked out, thank you once again.

Reflection of a past never forgotten

Sitting here thinking ...........looking at my 16 year old tattoo.

"Smile Now, Cry Later"

Traded Gang life and friends, brothers, spending times locked with some.....being happy to see a face you recognize and head nod.............. leading my brothers down the same path. making my parents and family worry for my safety, going down a wrong path that was gonna get me killed or locked up indefinitely, running from the Police.............gave it all up because I didnt want to see any friends die on a regular basis.

To think I traded all that gang life and certain incarceration or death .........for a life racing (cars) , dirt, and the start of bike life that has been going on now for over a decade! Being happy to see a face you recognize while riding, head nod, wave back.............meeting the same fates.......... losing friends to the life.............making my parents worry about my safety every time I go out............running from the Police,.............kind of makes you sit back and go ............well WTF!!

Where have I made or could I have made more of a difference with my own life? In an old life tearing people apart and supporting separation .............OR.......... start a new life where I bring people together??

Pahrump, Nevada and Spring Mountain Motorsports Racetrack with the Trackwhores SD

Well that was fun!! We left about 4 pm from San Diego and thanks to Erika and Lulu from TrackWhoresSD, we were on our way loaded and ready to head out! Two girls and two completely different bikes to ride this was bound to be an awesome weekend! thes girls are fast learners and getting the most out of riding trackdays! I can say they truly are addicted to heading to the track! Its fun to watch them from just being street riders, with occasional canyon rides to passing guys at the track. It is always a fun time riding and roadtripping with them as we cross states and explore new tracks neither of us have been to!
